Job Summary

Responsibilities
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
Provide personal care to residents in nursing homes or assisted living or clients home environments.
Assist with mobility assistance, and transportation.
Support patients with meal preparation and cooking as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and assist with light housekeeping duties.
Assist with medication management when required.
Assist with companionship and .
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
Engage with patients or clients in meaningful ways to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a clients home, nursing home, or assisted living facility is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is essential.
Experience working with people with disabilities, or developmental challenges is a plus.
Strong observational skills for effective patient monitoring and care assessment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist patients with mobility challenges safely.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
